In the winter that bridged 2020 I was encouraged by Kevin Mckay and Eric Kuhn to make a collection of keyboard miniatures. I set to writing for keyboard every night as a way to wind down and ended up in one of those situations where practice and consistency with an instrument created a scrying ritual - Incidentally, many of the pieces ended up being themed around social isolation, silent streets, distance and heartened existence. Writing this description during the coronavirus quarantine era, I’m finding these sounds and pieces appropriate for the thick feelings of isolation and want to share them with you.
